Seoul Food - Flower Cafe - Lovin' Her

Today's Tea Time Tuesday is all about the Flower Cafe Lovin Her in Seoul. When I visited South Korea, I had a vague idea of places I wanted to visit and things that I wanted to do, but I was very open to suggestions. And, one place that came highly recommended was the Flower Cafe Lovin' Her.

Seoul is known for their cafe scene, and as a tea lover, I wanted to visit as many as I could during my short trip. What I didn't know is that some of these cafes are not super easy to find. During my first attempt, the day was extremely cold, and the wind was whipping through my thick coat. I eventually gave up, especially since I did not get a portable wifi for this leg of my trip. Never a quitter, I pulled up the address on my phone in Korean, showed it to my taxi driver, and I thankfully found it.

And, I was glad I did.

Despite the photos of many of the popular Seoul cafes looking large and spacious, most are pretty small. Thankfully, the Flower Cafe was relatively spacious. The decor was whimsical and adorable. The space felt warm and welcoming. And, the barista was very friendly.

From my understanding, the owner of the cafe was originally a florist and their love for beautiful flowers is apparent in the decor and drinks. There are flowers everywhere, and the owners even encourage photos in the cafe, and have props to use in front of their flower wall.

I was drawn in by the beauty and the peaceful vibe of this place before I even took the first sip of my drink. I thankfully visited during a slow time so I could fully enjoy this tranquil space.

Like many cafes, they also had photo menus, which made ordering easy for me. BUT, it was still extremely difficult to choose a drink because they all looked delicious. I eventually chose a Matcha Latte. It was rich, creamy and just very lightly sweetened - perfect.

In addition to being delicious, my Matcha Tea Latte was stunning. The menu photos didn't even do it justice. I won't lie, I only recently developed an appreciation for matcha. It took me a while. But, now I love it! I got in all of the matcha lattes I could on this trip, because they just aren't the same elsewhere. And..this one was near the top for me.

They also get extra points for using fresh flowers on every tray, and the cute added touches of the tiny ceramic animals just made me happy.

I would definitely recommend checking out this place (Instagram: @flowercafe_lovinher) if you are in the area - they lived up to the hype.
