Japan Snippet: Using Yen

One of the most popular questions I have received is "how do I change my money to yen?"

There are a couple of options. You can convert your money at the airport exchange kiosks before you take off or when you land in Japan. You can also withdrawn cash at the 7/11 convenience store ATMs, or at the 7/11 ATMs that are scattered about the cities in Japan. There are also exchange spots at some hotels, post offices and you may find a money conversion machine randomly.

Be sure to let your bank know you are travelling and you should also be able to use your credit/debit cards without a problem. Regarding exchange rates.....they fluctuate daily, but it is roughly about $1 to ¥100.
