International Food Fest Brings The Fun!

International Food Fest Brings The Fun!

SONG: Tuesday by Drake (Instrumental)

Pink Sands spent an day (READ: 2 hours....it was hot!) at the Annual International Cultural Festival at the Botanical Gardens, in Nassau. For the non-Nassuvians, myself included, Botanical Gardens is located almost across the street from the Fry aka Arawak Cay, on the side of Fort Charlotte. I have been for the past two years, and as always, there was an abundance of food, drinks, music, art, desserts, crafts, produce....and just overall fun! I ate way too much, drank just enough, and even got a tan. I had a blast, but after two hours, in the heat, I said Girl, BYE, to the lovely Festival. We shall meet again next year.

My favorite food find was the Seafood Coconut Fritters (I will be attempting these at home) in the Bahamas Section, and the Magenta Passport Holders that I spotted. I also had some amazing Apple Pie Moonshine (not the illegal, hiding in the bushes Moonshine, but it was good!) and some Lion Fish Tacos.

I got a few finds to try later, so stay tuned to learn about some new International Foods along with me!

See you next year, International Culture Festival!
